Indra St. James is a romance author with a weakness for morally complex men, women who've been through it and came out swinging, and love stories that make you ugly cry at two in the morning.
She writes the kind of books you finish at 3 a.m. with the lamp still on, furious with the author and already pre-ordering the next one. Her debut, Wait For Me, launches The Sullivan Empire — a scorching enemies-to-lovers, second-chance billionaire romance about two people circling the same wound from opposite sides for ten years, and what happens when the truth finally surfaces and changes everything they thought they knew about that night, about each other, and about who they've both been running from.
Expect sharp banter, unflinching intimacy, trauma handled with teeth instead of tidy bows, and heroes who have to earn it. Expect heroines who don't shrink. Expect the slow, devastating kind of burn that makes the payoff feel earned.
She reads like she writes — obsessively, loyally, and always with a drink within reach. When she's not buried in a draft, she's deep in her TBR, side-eyeing tropes she pretends not to love and loving them anyway.
Wait For Me is out now. The rest of The Sullivan Empire is coming.

"This book is on a level by itself. Both female and male characters were researched and explored to the fullest extent. We cared about them and what they brought to the table. A good story that stood the test of time — well written and hard to put down."
"The way the author handles Blaire's journey of survival and rebuilding is incredible. This isn't just a simple second chance — it's a story about healing, and it hits hard. Complex, gripping, and you will not be able to put it down."
"There was something really healing about reading this book. The author mixes heavy stuff with bits of humor in a way that just works. It never felt too overwhelming, but it also didn't sugarcoat anything. I honestly can't remember the last time a book hit me like this."
"I started this ARC on Tuesday. It is now Friday. I have not slept. Bennet Sullivan is going to ruin me for every other book boyfriend. The anger. The secret. The WAY HE SAYS HER NAME. Clear your schedule. Tell your loved ones you'll be unavailable."
I ACTUALLY cried to see what Blaire has gone through with Colt-having a miscarriage, the domestic violence everything then when she got with Bennett and WAS able to get pregnant I cried! She has gone through so much to finding love at the end.
Absolutely loved this book! The enemies to lovers tension was perfectly done, and the second-chance romance made it even more emotional. The chemistry between the main characters kept me hooked the entire time. If you enjoy billionaire romances with strong character development and plenty of drama, this one is a must read.
